Welcome to Know Your Natives (KYN). KYN is a volunteer run organisation that can help provide native animal rescue services. We also regularly gather our volunteers to attend Native Animal Shelters in Victoria to provide help with property and shelter maintenance.

How We Got Here
Know Your Natives has been born out of a love for Australian Native Animals and a recent report from Australian Kinder teachers that some students were unable to even recognise a kangaroo at the age of 4. Spurred on by this information KYN was born with the intention of providing support to existing organisations protecting our native animal population. Most country based shelters are run by one or two people with a never ending workload to help rescue and rehabilitate our native animals. Our volunteers can help in any number of ways including weeding, enclosure maintenance, fencing, and much more. if you would like to get involved or receive more information please use the contact form below.
